Have seen you so many times. How much do you charge for a night. I saw you for my 40th and said I would love you to play for my 50th but this will also be a Charity event. The venue is very different.

I saw Squeeze at Newcastle City Hall and wished I'[d just kept the memories of when I last saw them many years earlier. The reunion news made me so excited at the fact that my all time favourite band were back on the road but I was disappointed. The sound was really lousy - you could hear each instrument separately (the music was not blended together), could hardly hear the vocals , there was no banter from Squeeze and very little crowd involvement. I, for one, will not go and see them again. Squeeze should have been left to rest in peace and not raised from the dead. As for the competition relating to the tour programme - seems like a very good way to get people to buy it - I wouldn't build my hopes up for the competition if I were you.

Hi has anybody got any idea what this competition with regards to the Squeeze tour program is all about. Its mentioned on the Quixotic site. It says you can win tickets to a future Squeeze show 'future' meaning there will be more.hoorah. c

Manchester Apollo 7th Dec . What a Gig . Read some reviews and a bit put off. But as soon as the band took the stage it was pure gold. Song after song we sang our hearts out and the atmos was brill. Glen was at his best and all the years of touring paid off, This guy does not do this for the cash, Chris seemed a bit shy but soon was swinging his bat about. Lord Large was brill and we left with songs running around in our heads. every song and i mean EVERY song went down a storm with the Manchester crowd.

4th dec - apollo london. Band were on top form and the sound was great - just not sure about all the album tracks that made up the middle of the set - the crowd around the circle got a bit restless and lots of people wandered off to the bar and for a wee. But the lads got it back on track with a storming Hourglass and the second half of the show was excellent. Picadilly, I Think Im GO GO and Love Circles are great songs but at the expense of singles Electric Trains and the magnificent If I Didnt Love You ? Just a weird set list for a big home coming show in my opinion. Stephen Large was a revelation. Not as much interaction with the audience as there used to be but im just nit picking. Another year together and hopefully a new record and this incarnation of Squeeze could really fly.

Absolutely agree with the previous poster - I have written to the Civic to complain and ask for a refund. It was such a pity as the band were really going for it, and the sound was just vile - WAY too bass heavy. I couldn't make out any of Glenn's guitars nor the vocals. I have been to other shows at the Civic and the sound has been fine. Was it the band's own crew that caused the problem? I saw a similar review of the Southampton show too.

Went to Wolverhampton last night to listen to Squeeze. Great venue, friendly people. It was an hour and a half from home so we hoped we had invested our carbon footprint wisely. First two numbers were stunningly good and then----- no sound from the stage microphones. AND then truly lousy sound after that. Great performance ruined by utterly inept sound crew - we left early, sorry but what a great disappointment. We got a tease of the truly unique Squeeze 'sound' and then it went to rats.

The atmosphere at the Carling Academy was "Electric" last night. rom the moment Squeeze took to the stage they delivered hit after hit. Glenns voice was on top form - also helped along by the Academys great accoustics. The band were excellent - Simons drumming was really tight and Chris and Glenn looked like they were having the time of their lives on that stage! This was the first time that I have seen Squeeze so it was great to hear Third Rail and Electric Trains. When the band left the stage the audience were screaming for more - they then came back and did 2 encores! Thank you Glenn and Chris and the rest of the band for a great night - one that I certainly wont forget in the near future!!

Thanks Helen for replying. Good to hear from someone. Can't wait for Dec. Its been a long time. CD seems to be enjoying it all again - he recently put a post on his website - and he seems to be the one doing most of the radio and promotion stuff. so it all bodes well for the future.
06:33:24 - 26 July 2007 - still in rainy Boston, lincs

Doh! Sorry Chris. You already know the Squeeze lineup. It's too early for me to post messages. I was lucky enough to get to see Squeeze at the Albany in Deptford on 12 July and there's a review of it up on my site (I can't give you the address, as the anti spam software on this guestbook won't let me, but it's a uk address called glennreviews). I'm hoping to have a review of one of the early US Squeeze gigs up there in the next couple of weeks.

You're not talking to yourself Chris! I believe Glenn's solo album will now be coming out next year, due to his commitments with Squeeze. As far as the lineup for Squeeze is concerned, it's Glenn, Chris, John Bentley, Simon Hanson and Stephen Large (and very good they all are together too).
