"I like that moment of being on your own when you write a song - that moment of getting it right is very special." -GT

The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook (2001)

Parallel World, Glenn's first
solo single (2000)

Glenn's brilliant new album, Transatlantic Ping Pong, is now available!!! The album and it's single, Untouchable, can be found at Quixotic Records, and in U.K. shops. In North America it's sold at stores like Borders and Barnes & Noble. Quixotic also ships worldwide!

Glenn released his first solo album in 2001, titled The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook. He followed it up in 2004 with the fantastic Transatlantic Ping Pong, which was recorded half in Nashville (USA), and half in London. As with his first album, he collaborated with other artists for some of the songs, while others are entirely self-penned. Both albums are on his own independent label, Quixotic Records.

Glenn performs Parallel World, the single from
his first solo album.

USA Today published this review of the new album in June:

Glenn Tilbrook, Transatlantic Ping Pong (***)

Question: Are Hot Shaved Asian Teens and Genitalia of a Fool the titles of a) popular video rentals, b) recent Howard Stern segments or c) songs on Tilbrook's new CD? If you guessed "c," there's no need to explain that the former Squeeze frontman hasn't lost his, um, cheeky sense of humor. Luckily, Tilbrook has also retained his sweetly plangent tenor and keen melodic savvy, as more wistful, winning tracks such as Untouchable and Ray & Me confirm. The singer/songwriter's occasional indulgences in blue-tinted humor are hardly offensive, but blue-eyed soul continues to be strong suit.--Gardner

Also, Helen from the Glenn List wrote an interesting song-by-song review of the new album, which I've reproduced here with her permission.

The North American and British versions of Transatlantic Ping Pong (2004) are identical. There is also a Japanese version, which contains a DVD video for the single, 'Untouchable'.

There are two different versions of The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook (2001). Copies bought in the U.K. and Australia contain a bonus CD of nine acoustic tracks. The North American release doesn't include the acoustic CD, but it has three bonus tracks: one from the acoustic CD, and the two B-sides from the single This Is Where You Ain't . If you prefer the U.K. version (highly recommended, as it's practically two albums!) you can order it from Quixotic Records.

You can get both of Glenn's solo albums through the major online record stores, but a larger percentage of your money will go back into Glenn's music if you buy them from the Quixotic site or at his shows. None of the CD singles have been released in North America but those are also available at Quixotic.

For more information about all of Glenn's releases, such as who played on them, etc. please visit the Glenn Tilbrook section of the Squeeze Discography Site. Album lyrics can be found at Quixotic Records in the Glenn Tilbrook section.

Glenn is touring extensively to promote the new album. For reliable current tour information visit the Quixotic site or Glenntilbrook.com.
