Comments: Had a fantastic night on Friday at Newcastle Opera House. I've reviewed it for Squeezenet,co.uk so hopefully it'll be on there soon. Took loads of photos so when I come back from holiday I will TRY to send you some by e-mail . (That'll be fun!). Got a few momentos from the show - Glenn's towel and plectrum and one of Simon's many discarded drumsticks!

Received Glenn's new album on Saturday which is great and I am so pleased Corina that you have been mentioned on the sleeve notes for your great website. Keep up the good work.

Comments: well here we are on sunday morning and i'm asking myself what could be better than seeing glenn on a saturday night in glasgow - the answer is quite obvious- bugger all!! glenn himself ,as ever, seemed to have a whale of a time and ,indeed, when i cast my mind back over the last few years i seem to recall that he always plays glasgow at the week-end - now why would that be , i wonder? anyway - what a show.glenn and the band made their way from the rear of the hall to the stage playing acoustically the theme from - no i'd better not give the game away for those of you still to catch the show! anyway to the gig - perfect balance between brand new, nearly new and old.terrific opener - "cash machine" (glenn, if you ever read this please please e-mail me and tell me why this was relegated to a b-side - it is absolutely fab.)great band , great set ,i just wish that i'd heard all of the new songs prior to the gig .i bought the new album at the show and stayed up in the wee sma' hours getting aquainted with it and ,by the way, you all must buy it immediately to get a copy of the acoustic cd as, and don't tell glenn this, there are a couple of tracks that ,for me ,are superior to the band versions. i'm not naming names but the band version of "interviewing randy newman" live is terrific but the recorded version ??? as glenn notes in the sleeve about this - "we went on a flight of fancy and landed here"
other songs that i hadn't heard which had an immediate impact were "other world" - absolutely brilliant, "G.S.O.H."where the final refrain is the line "take me, i'm yours" and ,naturally, that very song follows.great lyrics on this song - glenn "sailed majestically" in glasgow.
"this is where you ain't" - have you ever heard a song that didn't convince you until you hear it live and you realise that it is classic? i played it all the way home!
i could ramble on forever but ,glenn, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Comments: Little did I know, but last night as I wrote my previous message, my boyfriend was actually socialising with the man himself after the gig in a club called Rockshots in Newcastle!! He rang me up at half one in the morning and said 'I have just seen Glenn, oh my god!!' Thankfully he had the courage to go up and chat to him and tell him how much he thinks he's great and how he should keep performing Squeeze songs, because no one will ever get bored of them. He also had a little dance with Glenn (and his mad keyboard, player Steve) and asked the DJ if he could play anything by Squeeze but unfortunately he did not have anything. Wish I had gone clubbing now!!

Comments: Hi everyone, well I managed to catch Glenn twice on Friday. I went to Borders Bookshop where he strolled upstairs and did 6 or 7 numbers - some old, some new stuff. He commented that it felt strange playing in a book shop, he said he felt like he was in a library ! Quite a crowd gathered though - I guess a lot of people had just popped in to do some shopping and came upstairs to see what was going on. It was great - all very casual, and afterwards he signed copies of the new single - much to my delight ! I asked him if he could give me a lift over to the Albert Hall afterwards - as he was joining Paul Carrack on stage. He laughed - and said it was a lovely idea, but would be a bit cosy - well, I could do cosy - no problem !! So alas, I made my own way over to the Royal Albert and found my seat. Paul Carrack had numerous guests and old friends joining him on stage - and Glenn and Chris appeared at about 10.20. It was fabulous to see Glenn and Chris together again - old memories came flooding back. They did 3 numbers with Paul and the band - "Up the Junction" "Tempted" and "Hourglass" - the latter was superb, they certainly managed to whip the audience up, and the sound was fantastic. It was all over much too soon - however, it has to be one of the most pleasant evenings I'v spent in a long time. Lookng forward now to seeing Glenn with the Party in 3 weeks time at Brighton and the Mean Fiddler. Counting the days off already !!!

Comments: I spent a quiet evening tonight looking through my collection of Squeeze singles, and sulking really because I so much wanted to see Glenn at Chelmsford the other week, but it being my friend's birthday she selfishly decided to stay local, and having been close for more than 20 years she would have been quite hurt if I'd abandoned her. Even so, I still feel I've missed out, and would like to know is there any chance please of Glenn playing Southend (where I live) or aywhere close by in the not too distant future?

Comments: Your website is excellent. It is one of the best unofficial sites that I have visited.

I have seen GT & Squeeze live many times (probably between 20-30 times) and I have never come away from a gig disappointed. I would be interested in buying or trading CDs or tapes of shows if anyone out there has any.

Comments: Was charring to Suzanne at Nick Harper's gig in Wallsend last night and she told me that Glenn was filming A Question Of Pop in Manchester yesterday evening. She also told me the names of the people in Glenn's new band. Andy Metcalfe (previous Squeeze member) was one of them but alas, Chris Braide is not in the line up.

Comments: Hey Glenn,
My friend and I run a web site. We review live music and do features/ interviews with all types of musical genres. Please look at the site and let me know if you are interested in allowing us to feature your new Solo release? Being that we are Squeeze fan's from the late 70's on , it would be our pleasure to do a full lengh page and hopefully a download in the MP3 format for users to access. We have many contacts with the major labels in the US. Being that we are from New York City we get to see mostly any show we want. When you come to the States we would love to come to a gig of yours and take some live stills and review the show as well.
Thanks for your time!
