Why oh why is Glenn (unconfirmed as yet1) playing Newcastle Opera House again? It is possibly the WORST venue for a solo accoustic show. I was really looking forward to seeing him again but am not going to that awful place - especially when the audience are asked to move to the side of the theatre if they want to dance!

Saw Glenn at the Tom's River Library on Friday. Fantastic! He was delayed as last fall, having blew out a tire on the RV en route. After the crowd began to get restless, Glenn bolts in the back door of the room, guitar in hand, playing, 'Is that love?' He was in great form. After explaining to the crowd about he had to tune his guitars at a Garden State Parkway rest stop, he played mostly all requests from the audience. Highlights for me were 'Vicky Verky', 'Touching Me Touching You', and 'Piccadilly'. He did a duet with the program director of the library (Whisper to a Scream). Then he decided it was time to take the show outside, despite the fact that it was pouring rain! While outside in the rain, in the middle of playing 'Goodbye Girl' he asked if anybody knew how to play that song. A guy standing next to him said he did, and Glenn gave him his guitar. The guy picked up where Glenn left off, and Glenn continued singing as he climbed on top of his RV with a flat tire in the pouring rain!!! He played for nearly 3 hours after which he hung around till everyone got to talk to him for a little while. As usual, he was very courteous. I asked him how the new album was coming along, and he told me that he was really interested in getting a good LIVE ALBUM out of this tour. Hopefully by this fall (CAN'T WAIT!!!). At this point, he sighed saying, "I really wish I had taped THIS show!" I agree!

On 4/24/02 I got to play Glenn's 12 string in Denver! I played 'Is That Love' while GT was on crutches! We invaded a bar across Colfax from the Bluebird Theatre. On 4/25, I brought my guitar to Pint's Pub for a meet & greet and got to sing two duets w/Glenn- Parallel World and It's Over. What a thrill! Harmonizing with the great Tilbrook! I have it on videotape too. We're gonna do it for the show next time he comes thru Denver! GT's new live album is due out fall '02!

Wow. I just got home from the Seattle show, and it may be the best show I've ever seen, by anyone -- and I've seen some pretty great concerts in my life! Glenn has a sprained ankle, yet still managed (on crutches, even -- with volunteer guitarists) to take us in a singalong parade down the street to another bar, then back to the Croc to finish the show. Amazing. I am so glad I went to this show.

Hi Ed {below}! Well we were there too, at both shows this weekend -- and sat next to Ed and his lovely wife Pam, as we have at just about every Squeeze/Glenn show for the past six or seven years! The Sacramento show was probably the coolest one I have ever seen, PLUS I was fortunate enough to steal a smooch at the end of the show and even got it on film. :-) WE LOVE YOU GLENN, can't wait to see you in November!!

We just saw Glenn in Sacramento last night -- he actually played 2 of my favorites: "No Place Like Home", "From a Whisper To A Scream", and the requests I shouted out: "In Quintessence" and "Letting Go"; he also led the audience outside to walk around the streets of Sacramento, while he sung "Goodbye Girl" and "Pulling Mussels..." -- we (the audience) accompanied him thru a restaurant, around a gas station, and into a park (!); we saw him in Petaluma two nights before, where he played "Sunny Afternoon" and "You Are Always On My Mind" -- he's still in top form, with his great voice & guitar playing!

I saw Glenn at Esquires in Bedford Nov 1999.Apart from finishing one song in the bog,he left the actual venue,with all of us in tow and visited a near by boozer.A guitar act was playing,and Glenn joined in to sing "hey jude".We then walked around the block whilst Glenn seranaded the nearby residents in the tower blocks.The look on the face of the venue promoter was a treat as we all trooped out.being the tight type,I took my beer with me.come back again Glenn.

We also saw Glenn last night at Newcastle Opera house, he was fantastic. This is only the second time I seen him, until last August I hadn't even heard of him, he was supporting Bryan Adams in Nottingham (I'm a big fan of B.A) I was that impressed with Glenn, I had to see him again. Saw Glenn at Newcastle Opera House last night. Show was great but after seeing Glenn appear on his own twice now at the Opera House I have come to the conclusion that it is an awful venue. The Cellar Club at South Shields was a much better place - you were even allowed to dance anywhere you liked in there!

Just got back to manchester from my 3rd glenn gig on the trot - edinburgh, glasgow and newcastle. Only decided to go to Newcastle at 2am yesterday after the top glasgow gig! All brill as usual. I have been a Squeeze-fan since the seventies. I saw them in concert in 1977 at the ' Paard van Troje' in The Hague, Holland. I think GT is one of the great songsmiths of the last century and the years to come. It's a pity his solo-album isn't for sale in Holland (as most of the Squeeze records). The site is great, especially the downloads.
